Hello and sunshiny tidings as we all get started with the summer season fun.

In May the Fairfax chapter held a discussion about how we, as individuals
and a community, could best affect change in the accessibility of all the
many digital resources that are such an integral part of our modern lives.
We were very happy about the turnout and the lively discussion that came out
of that event.

This June the chapter leadership has two goals.

1. We miss seeing you all in person and would like to share a meal with you.

2. While we spent our time together in May talking about how we, as members
of the community, could make the digital world better for us all, we want to
use June to talk about how we, as individuals, can use the tools already out
there. To make both the digital and real world a little easier for us.

So, we want to invite anyone who is in the area of Vienna Virginia on the
20th of June to join us at the Casual Pour Restaurant to enjoy a meal and a
pint with the rest of the chapter.  While we are there, we will have an
in-person demonstration and discussion of as many of the tools and tricks
that are available out there to make our lives easier and increase our
independence.

Please come with your appetites.  John Scroggs and his son made the supreme
sacrifice of scouting out the restaurant and eating a delicious meal for us.
He indicated that the menu is full of a wide variety of options that all
look and smell great to him.

Also come armed with your questions and personal recommendations.  We want
everyone to leave with at least one new thing they didn't know when they got
there.
