Hi everyone,

Like we talked about at our last chapter meeting, please save the date for
our next NFBSF social get-together. Which are now on the first Saturday of
the month.

We’ll be hanging out on the back patio at Alameda 500 Bar & Grill on
Saturday, June 6 at 6 PM. Come relax, catch up with friends, meet newer
members, and enjoy some fun community time together.

As many of you know, I’ll be moving out of the area for a little while. I’m
hoping to come back, although that part is unclear, I plan to stay
connected with our chapter while I’m away, attend meetings and support from
afar. With that in mind, we’re going to need a few more people to help with
socials and outreach going forward.

Bobbi Pompey, Lisa Irving, Sagar Gupta, and I have all put a lot of energy
into growing the Outreach & Education Committee over the past two year, and
we’d really love to see that continue. Since three of us have now moved
away, Bobbi could really use some extra support to keep things going.

If you’re interested in community building, outreach, education, welcoming
new members, or just bringing new ideas to the group, please reach out to
Bobbi or myself. We’d love to have more people involved in helping shape
what’s next.

The confidence and experiences I’ve gained through the National Federation
of the Blind have made me really excited for this next adventure. I’ll be
learning all about the world of sound through my child as he attends the
program at the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences.

More details coming soon, regarding our social but for now, save the date.
