Sony PlayStation's Consumer Experience Innovation team (GMSBO) is looking for a Software Developer Apprentice to join our San Mateo, CA office on a hybrid basis.

Expected start: August 2026.

About the role:
You'll contribute to building new web features on PlayStation's support portal and help customize Salesforce Service Cloud platforms used by our agents. You'll work across both front-end and back-end integrations, partner closely with engineers, and take real ownership of meaningful work from day one.

What you'll do:
• Develop business-critical software on the Salesforce platform
• Integrate REST APIs with internal Sony systems and external partners
• Follow software development best practices: code standards, peer reviews, unit testing, and documentation
• Participate in Agile/SCRUM ceremonies
• Support UAT and Hypercare phases for released features
• Build monitoring and alerting instrumentation

What we're looking for:
• Strong programming skills — Salesforce Apex preferred, Java accepted
• Solid grasp of JavaScript and CSS
• Familiarity with algorithms and data structures
• Basic knowledge of the Salesforce ecosystem
• Strong communication skills and a growth mindset
• Flexibility during UAT and Hypercare project phases

Salesforce CLI · VS Code · GitHub · JIRA · Confluence · Slack · Selenium · Saucelabs · Accessibility testing (AQA)

Location & Schedule:
Hybrid - San Mateo, CA office. In-person at least once weekly when the team is in, plus Sync Weeks/Sync Days.
