hi all,
at the present i'm carrying a tool case from international piano. it looked and sounded good untill i got it, and if one dont do much walking i guess it would bee allright. but for us folks who dont go from car to home, and back to car again it dont work so well. there are 4 moveable partissions in the base and a pallet in the top. the pallet works well, and theirs space behind the pallet for a few idoms. the top isnt the problem, its the base. well, remembor those moveable partissions i told you about? they are just that, moveable. whin i get to a job, everything in there has moved. things are just scattered all around and it makes it hard to find anything. given this, i thought it was time for a change of case. this one will work well for tools that i dont have to take out on all calls, but its driveing me nuts now! a friend uses a genck, pronounced gink. these are sold by schaff. they have 3 moddles all of which are about the same i think. except one is a soft case made parshaley from kevlarr. this is the one my friend has. it seems to work well. the out side has a few pockets for documents and such, and a vinal like covering, that they say will repell pet hair, and dirt. good for us folks with dogs. so this is the one i orderd. at the toon of $249. anyone on here use these? do you like the hard or soft? i thought the soft case would bee more cunfrable for walking. it wont hirt so much whin it bangs in to you. i say lets open the flore to a discussion of tool cases. what are you useing and do you like it? if so, why, or why not.
