HI Shawn,
I agree with you on that one.
I was wondering. Where did you train to become a piano tech? I trained with
a guy here in the Chicago area. He's great, but the training in the repair
and regulation areas were more intoductory. I know that there is a great
school in Washington state, but the predicament is this. I have a good
handle on tuning, but the repair end and regulation end I coudl use more
help. I'm doing my best to attend PTG meetings etc, but I need a lot of
hands on since I"m not mechanically inclined. The other problem is
uprooting my family to go out there and then come back to Chicago. What
would I do with our appartment here in Chicago? How wiill I aford to live
out there without a job, and my wife would have to work plus we have a 15
month old son as well. So there are so many what ifs in the equation. So
how does a legally blind guy gain the full training he needs without having
to uproot my family? talk with you soon.
