Hello and Welcome to the list Shawn,

Its good to have you join our list. I am in Falls Church, Virginia, not all
that far from Cincinnati--maybe 500 miles. I have been in the piano
tuning/servicing business since 1985, for many years in Spokane Washington,
now in Falls Church. I'm curious as to who you apprenticed under, and,
whether he/she was blind. I have found the business of piano servicing to be
a wonderful way to make a living and, hope you find it so, also.

As to your up-coming store work, do your best and don't sell your self
short.

I do not know all that much about the school in Boston, and I am curious as
to why you chose it over the PHTC.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

I am,

hello all, my name is shawn brock and i am from cincinnati ohio. i'm some
what a new bee to piano tuning and sirviceing. as of right now i am a
musician, and i also run the largest audio recording studio in the grater
cincinnati arya. but alass times are changing for me. now i want to
perfect the art of piano sirviceing, hints why i am writeing to yall now. i
hav aprintassed with one of the best r p t's in town, and will hav my first
paying job on winsday for a stor. so needless to say i am excited and
nirvice about this new vinture. i'm sure you all hav wint through the same
thing in the past. its the same old worrys about how will they treat me as
a blind person, aspeshely whin they dont know i am blind going in. but i'm
hopeing for the best. one more thing worth minchening is i plan to atend
the north benit street school in boston for piano sirviceing and tuning.
just wondering if anyone on here has any experience with those folks. they
tell me they hav had v i people through there before, unlike the chicago
school who thought a blind person could not do the work. but this is a hole
other subject... so if i could here from anyone in the u.s who has atended
any school for repair i would bee grateful. at this time i am more
intristed in boston, than the piano hospitel. thanks a lot for any info.
