In Louisiana, we strive to change what it means to be blind. Our programs empower blind children and adults to live the lives they want. Thanks to the generosity of our members and friends, we can continue providing opportunities that make a real difference.
To keep the good times rollin' at the 2026 National Convention, the Louisiana affiliate is once again seeking donations. As our way of saying thank you, we have a variety of Louisiana favorites and NFB merchandise available with your donation. Stop by Table F5 in the exhibit hall to see everything we have to offer!
Here's what's on the menu this year:
- $5 – Choose from a 4-ounce Slap Ya Mama Cajun seasoning or a Gator Chomp candy lollipop
- $10 – Pick up an 8-ounce Slap Ya Mama Cajun seasoning, a Driver Reads Braille car magnet, a knit LCB or NFB beanie, or one of our $10 sale items, including select shirts, youth apparel, earmuffs, and more.
- $15 – Take home a Louisiana-themed gator bottle opener.
- $20–$22 – Choose from our newest collection of Braille and literacy-themed shirts, including Blind, Bold, Totally Me, I Do Love Braille, I Heart Braille, I Would Rather BEE Reading, Let the Braille Times Roll, and LOVE. Adult XXL and XXXL sizes are available for a small additional donation.
- $35 – NFB or LCB backpack.
- $60 – NFB or LCB tailgate blanket.
- $65–$68 – NFB or LCB zip-up jackets in select styles and sizes.
- $75 – NFB Snuggie wearable blanket.
Looking to stock up on seasoning? We also have bundle pricing:
- 4-ounce Slap Ya Mama: 1 for $5 or 2 for $9
- 8-ounce Slap Ya Mama: 1 for $10 or 2 for $18
Don't want to carry everything home? Many of our items are also available for online ordering and can be shipped directly to you.
You can make your donation in person using cash, card, or PayPal by scanning the QR code at Table F5.
We can't wait to see you in the exhibit hall. Thank you for supporting the Louisiana Affiliate and helping us continue changing what it means to be blind!
Best,
Pam

The Louisiana Center for the Blind is a training center and community of blind and low vision people, proudly affiliated with the National Federation of the Blind.
We believe blind people can do anything. Every day, we encourage and challenge each student—and they come to understand their potential as they build the skills and confidence to live the life they want. Because when you believe in yourself and experience a thriving community of positive blind people, nothing can hold you back from pursuing your dreams.
