Research Participation Request: AN EXAMINATION OF PERCEIVED LEVELS OF 
SOCIAL ISOLATION OF STUDENTS WITH VISUAL IMPAIRMENTS DURING HIGH 
SCHOOL: A RETROSPECTIVE STUDY


The below research participant solicitation is being provided for 
informational purposes only. The National Federation of the Blind has 
no involvement in this research, but we believe that it may 
contribute to our research mission.



Research Title: AN EXAMINATION OF PERCEIVED LEVELS OF SOCIAL 
ISOLATION OF STUDENTS WITH VISUAL IMPAIRMENTS DURING HIGH SCHOOL: A 
RETROSPECTIVE STUDY

Being conducted by: Drake University


Purpose of the Study

This is a retrospective study whose purpose is to describe the level 
to which students visual impairments perceived being socially 
isolated during high school. This study aims to evaluate variables 
which may impact levels of perceived social isolation during high school years


Role of the Participants and Anticipated Length of the Study

Participants will complete an anonymous survey consisting of 24 
questions. The survey should take no longer than 10-15 minutes.
