War Room

Pharmaceutical salesman Tony Jordan and his wife, realtor Elizabeth Jordan,
appear outwardly successful; they have a large house, plenty of money, and a
beautiful daughter named Danielle. Behind the façade, however, Tony and
Elizabeth's relationship is strained. Tony is callous, verbally abusive and
thinking about cheating on Elizabeth. In addition, because his job requires
frequent travel, he is almost never there for his daughter.

Elizabeth goes to work with an elderly woman, Miss Clara, to sell her house.
Miss Clara senses the stress Elizabeth is under, and suggests that Elizabeth
fight for their marriage by praying for Tony. Miss Clara shows Elizabeth a
special closet she has dedicated to praying, which she calls her "War Room";
as she puts it, "in order to stand up and fight the enemy, you need to get
on your knees and pray." As Elizabeth starts to seriously pray for her
husband, Tony leaves for a business trip, having dinner with a beautiful
woman who invites him back to her apartment. Meanwhile in his home, his wife
Elizabeth is praying that if Tony is about to make a wrong decision, God to
intervene and stop him. Just as he is about to leave the table with her, he
becomes nauseous. Shortly afterward, Tony is fired for fabricating his sales
figures; unbeknownst to Elizabeth and Danielle, he has been stealing drug
samples and selling them to make even more money. Realizing he has hit rock
bottom, Tony rededicates his life to God after finding his wife's prayer
closet and reading the prayers about him she has been pinning on the wall.
He now realizes that he has to return both the stolen samples and his
ill-gotten money, even though revealing what he's done could potentially
send him to prison. Tony meets with his former boss and confesses; his
former boss is moved by his willingness to admit his wrongdoing and make
amends, and decides not to press charges. Tony begins to show an interest in
his daughter's jump-roping skills and offers to participate with her and her
friends in the upcoming double Dutch competition at the local community
center. Tony and his daughter's team takes second place in the competition,
creating a new bond between him and his daughter.

Elizabeth successfully sells Miss Clara's house to a retired pastor who
realizes someone has been praying in the closet. Shortly afterwards, Tony is
offered a job as the director of the community center. Although the pay is
only half of what he used to make, he realizes that with the income from
this new job combined with Elizabeth picking up some extra work, the family
can live less frugal and be happy. Finally, Elizabeth realizes that all her
prayers had been answered and she had fought her enemy with prayer. She says
that "there's got to be a God in heaven."

A Long Kiss Good Night

Samantha Caine is a schoolteacher in small-town Honesdale, Pennsylvania,
living with her boyfriend, Hal, and her daughter, Caitlin. Eight years
earlier, she was found washed ashore on a New Jersey beach, pregnant with
Caitlin, and totally amnesiac. Having never remembered her real name,
"Samantha" has hired several ineffective private investigators to discover
her past, the latest being the down-on-his-luck Mitch Henessey. During the
Christmas holidays, Samantha is involved in a car accident and suffers a
brief concussion; when she recovers, she finds she possesses skills with a
knife that she cannot explain. Shortly thereafter, the family home is broken
into by "One-Eyed Jack", a convict who escaped from jail after seeing
Samantha's face on television. Samantha demonstrates her fighting prowess by
killing Jack bare-handed. Worried that she poses a danger to Hal and
Caitlin, Samantha leaves with Mitch, who has found a suitcase belonging to
her, to seek out answers.

The suitcase contains a note directing them to Dr. Nathan Waldman. They
arrange to meet at a train station unaware that government agents are
tapping the doctor's calls. En route, Samantha discovers the bottom of the
suitcase contains a disassembled sniper rifle which she can expertly
reassemble, along with other weapons. When Samantha and Mitch go to meet
Waldman at the station, they are attacked by a team of agents who shoot
numerous bystanders, but the two escape with Waldman's help. The doctor
informs Samantha that she is really an expert CIA assassin, Charlene
Elizabeth "Charly" Baltimore, who had disappeared eight years earlier.

Unsure if they can trust Waldman, Samantha and Mitch leave him behind and
seek another contact named on a note in the suitcase, Luke, believing he may
be Charly's fiancé.

Waldman catches up with them, trying to warn them that Luke is actually
Charly's last assassination target, "Daedalus." However, Luke kills Dr.
Waldman before he can warn them. Samantha is then tortured with repeated
near-drowning experiences for information. During this process, her real
identity fully resurfaces and her memory returns. Samantha frees herself,
kills Luke, and escapes with Mitch. Samantha completes her physical
transformation back to Charly, cutting her hair and dying it platinum
blonde. Charly realizes that her "Samantha Caine" personality was a cover to
get near to Daedalus eight years earlier.

A psychological-operations specialist named Timothy, with whom Charly once
had a romantic relationship, kidnaps Caitlin.

Charly and Mitch learn about Daedalus' involvement in "Project Honeymoon",
which she disrupted on her mission, resulting in One-Eyed Jack's
incarceration; "Project Honeymoon" was intended to be a false flag chemical
bomb detonation in Niagara Falls, planned by the CIA in an attempt to blame
Islamic terrorists and secure more funding. Charly realizes that Timothy and
a new group are plotting to restage the attack led by CIA Director Leland
Perkins. In Niagara Falls, where Timothy has taken Caitlin, he captures
Mitch and Charly. She tells Timothy that he is Caitlin's biological father
and implores him not to hurt their daughter. However, Timothy is ultimately
unmoved, locking Charly and Caitlin in a freezer to kill them.

Charly and Caitlin break out of the freezer by detonating barrels of
kerosene and then freeing Mitch, who helps Charly attack the staging area.
This forces Timothy to launch the attack early; meanwhile, Caitlin locks
herself in a cage on the truck carrying the bomb. Charly chases the truck,
overpowers its driver, diverts it from a Christmas parade, and overturns it
on the Niagara Falls International Bridge leading to Canada.

Charly frees Caitlin but they cannot get away from the bomb, which is about
to explode, as Timothy and his agents attack them from a helicopter. Mitch
suddenly arrives in a car, picking up Charly and Caitlin and entering Canada
just before the bomb explodes, which kills Timothy and his forces and
destroys the bridge.

In an epilogue, Charly has returned to her assumed identity of Samantha
Caine, moving with Caitlin and Hal to a remote farmhouse and declining an
offer from the president to join the State Department (which could imply
rejoining the CIA). Mitch enjoys the publicity attracted by his role in the
crisis and is interviewed by Larry King on television about Perkins, who was
indicted for treason.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Harry Potter has a nightmare in which a Muggle caretaker named Frank Bryce
is murdered at the Riddle House after overhearing a plot by Lord Voldemort,
Peter Pettigrew and another man whom Harry does not recognise. The following
morning, Harry attends the Quidditch World Cup with the Weasleys, Hermione
Granger, Cedric Diggory and his father Amos. That night, Death Eaters attack
the campsite after the tournament and the unknown man from Harry's nightmare
casts the Dark Mark.

At Hogwarts, Professor Dumbledore announces that the school will host the
Triwizard Tournament along with the Durmstrang Institute and the Beauxbatons
Academy. One student from each school will be chosen by the Goblet of Fire
to participate; students under the age of seventeen are ineligible. The
Goblet selects Fleur Delacour for Beauxbatons, Viktor Krum for Durmstrang,
and Cedric for Hogwarts. It then chooses Harry as a fourth Champion, leading
to much confusion. Many students believe Harry cheated, and Ron distances
himself from him, hurt that Harry did not tell him when he allegedly
entered. Harry is forced to compete due to a magical binding contract when a
Champion's name was selected.

For the first task, the Champions must retrieve an egg by getting past a
dragon. Professor Alastor Moody, the new Defence Against the Dark Arts
teacher, hints that Harry can use his wand to summon his broomstick. All
four Champions collect their eggs. Ron reconciles with Harry after
witnessing how perilous the first task was. On Christmas Eve, the school
hosts the Yule Ball, but Harry and Ron could not attend with their preferred
dates and instead go with Parvati and Padma Patil, respectively; Hermione
goes with Viktor, provoking Ron's jealousy. Cedric advises Harry to use the
Prefects' bathroom on the fifth floor of Hogwarts, take a bath, and submerge
the egg in the water to find the second clue.

For the second task, the Champions must rescue somebody of value to them
from the Black Lake: Harry has to save Ron, Cedric has to save his
girlfriend Cho Chang (whom Harry asked to the Ball), Viktor has to rescue
Hermione, and Fleur has to save her sister Gabrielle. Neville Longbottom
gives Harry gillyweed to help him breathe underwater. Cedric comes in first,
and Harry is awarded second place after he saves not only Ron but also
Gabrielle after Fleur had withdrawn from the task.

Harry later finds the lifeless body of Barty Crouch Sr., a Ministry of Magic
official, in the Forbidden Forest. In Dumbledore's office, he enters a
Pensieve. He witnesses the questioning of Igor Karkaroff, current headmaster
of Durmstrang, by Barty Crouch Sr. Karkaroff is asked to name those who
served Voldemort. He names Severus Snape, but Dumbledore vouches for Snape.
Karkaroff then names Barty Crouch Jr.. Harry recognises Crouch Jr. from his
nightmare.

For the third task, the Champions must navigate a maze to reach the
Triwizard Cup. Harry and Cedric reach the Cup only to discover it is a
Portkey that transports them to a graveyard from Harry's dream. Pettigrew
kills Cedric on Voldemort's orders. He then uses Harry's blood to resurrect
Voldemort, who summons his Death Eaters before torturing Harry. Voldemort
attempts to use the Killing Curse on Harry but the latter deflects it. The
ghosts of Voldemort's previous victims: Frank, Cedric, and Harry's parents
Lily and James appear, distracting Voldemort long enough for Harry to use
the Cup to return to Hogwarts with Cedric's body.

Harry informs Dumbledore of Cedric's murder and Voldemort's return. Harry is
escorted by Moody to his office where he learns that Moody put his name into
the Goblet and was guiding him to ensure the return of Voldemort. Just as
Moody is about to kill Harry, Dumbledore, Snape and Minerva McGonagall
subdue Moody. Using Veritaserum, they learn that they have caught Barty
Crouch Jr. who was impersonating Moody using Polyjuice Potion; the real
Moody is imprisoned in a magical trunk.

At the end-of-term feast, Dumbledore announces that Voldemort murdered
Cedric, although the Ministry denies these claims. Harry informs Dumbledore
of his encounter with Voldemort, which Dumbledore describes as Priori
Incantatem. The three schools bid farewell, with Harry, Ron, and Hermione
agreeing that everything will change.
