Hi everyone,

The Mad-Ability Lab at UW-Madison is conducting avatar diversity and accessibility research to investigate how people with disabilities perceive and use avatars on Social VR and social media platforms. We are recruiting participants to join our study.

We specify our study details below:

  * Participants will be interviewed over Zoom with researchers and reflect on their experiences with avatar on social VR platforms.
  * We may also ask participants to share screens via Zoom to demonstrate their avatars.
  * The interview will last for approximately 1 hour, and we offer a compensation of $15/hour for participants.

We are looking for participants who must:

  1. Be at least 18 years old
  2. Blind and low vision
  3. Have experience using avatars on social VR and social media platforms (e.g., VRChat, Rec Room, Facebook, Snapchat)

If you are interested in participating in this study, please fill out this form: https://uwmadison.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0e9a23RWjh1PSh8. We will follow up with you if you are eligible to participate. If you need accommodations to participate, please contact Kexin Zhang at kzhang284 at wisc.edu<mailto:kzhang284 at wisc.edu>. We look forward to hearing your avatar experiences on social VR and social media!

Best,
