TODAY IS THE DEADLINE!!!

Each year the National Federation of the Blind of Illinois (NFBI) awards
scholarships to qualified blind students. The scholarships are awarded at
the annual convention of the NFBI. In 2020 the NFBI will award two
scholarships, each in the amount of $2,000.

All scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence and
service to the community. To be eligible for an NFBI scholarship, an
applicant must be a legally blind resident of or student in Illinois who is
enrolled full-time in an accredited two-year, four-year, or graduate
college or university program. To apply, complete the application at
www.nfbofillinois.org/scholarships. Submit your application and supporting
documents to Deborah Kent Stein, NFBI Scholarship Committee, at
dkent5817 at att.net. Completed applications must be received before midnight
on March 31.

We strongly encourage you to apply for an NFB national scholarship in
addition to a scholarship from the NFB of Illinois. Blind students from
throughout the United States and Puerto Rico compete for thirty
scholarships ranging in value from $3,000 to $12,000. You can learn more
and complete an application at www.nfb.org/scholarships.

We look forward to reviewing your application. If you have any questions,
please contact Deborah Kent Stein at dkent5817 at att.net or 773-203-1394.
