Sheri Koch, President of the NFB of West Virginia, has asked me to
distribute this widely. Many of you will have known Brad Hodges, as
he worked at the National Center for several years.
Dave
Bradley Hodges, 61, passed away peacefully at Emogene Dolin Jones
Hospice House, Huntington, WV on January 16, 2019.
Brad is survived by his husband Joseph Regnier, of Huntington, WV,
his parents, Alfred and Colleen Hodges of Rochester, MN, brothers
Michael (Katie) of Chanhassen, MN, and David (Sherry) of Ave Maria,
FL, and several nieces and nephews.
Brad was born in Waukeegan, IL, December 5, 1957. He attended St.
John's College, Saint Cloud, MN. He lived in Chicago for a number of
years while operating a food service kiosk.
Brad then worked as a rehabilitation specialist at the University of
Wisconsin, Stout, for several years. Following that Brad was a
Technology Accessibility Specialist at the National Federation of the
Blind in Baltimore, MD.
Brad and Joe moved to Huntington when he became a writer for Access
World on line magazine for the American Foundation for the
Blind. Most recently he freelanced providing accessibility training
to the visually impaired and was under contract to provide services
to veterans for the Veterans Administration of West Virginia.
For many years he served on various FCC committees concerning web,
internet and cell phone accessibility for the visually impaired.
At Brad's request, there will be no services. Celebration of his
life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be
made to the National Federation of the Blind of West Virginia, 833
