Attention Tactile Artists!

Display your art at the National Federation of the Blind (NFB) 2017 National
Convention in Orlando at the Tactile Art Exhibit. The NFB is the largest and
oldest organization of blind people in the United States, and every year
over 2,500 blind people from across the country attend our convention. The
creation and enjoyment of art plays an important role in how many of our
members live the life they want.

Would you like hundreds of art enthusiasts to be able to get in-touch with
your art? Whether you are an art aficionado or an enthusiastic novice, you
will find a warm welcome in the Drop-In Art Room. Coordinated by sculptor
Ann Cunningham, the art room displays touchable works by blind and sighted
artists, many of whom will be on hand to answer questions and exchange
ideas.

We need your art! Please consider bringing artwork you have created that
people can enjoy through touch. If you are an amateur or professional artist
and would like to display a piece of your work in the Drop-In Art Room,
please contact Ann Cunningham at <mailto:ann at acunningham.com>
ann at acunningham.com.

The art room will be open from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 11 and
Wednesday, July 12. Please bring your family and friends, and stay as long
as you like. On July 11, 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., join co-chairs Ann Cunningham
and Debbie Stein in the art room for the first meeting of the NFB Tactile
Art and Tactile Graphics Specialist Group. All tactile artists, tactile
graphics producers, and enthusiasts are welcome to attend.

Everyone is invited to join in FREE art-making activities in the Drop-In Art
Room between 1:00 and 5:00 p.m. each day. All the materials and even some
instruction are provided to encourage you to experiment with a variety of
materials and create your own sculptures and tactile drawings.
