Good evening Federation family!!!

With one week until the 75th Anniversary of the National
Federation of the Blind, get ready for the National Association of Blind
Students' fund-raiser that everyone can be apart of!

During Exhibit Hall hours, NABS will be hosting our first-ever Penny Wars
fund-raiser!

Now, you may be asking yourself, what are penny wars?

Basically, the National Association of Blind Students will have five buckets
set up at our exhibit hall table, B25.

Each bucket will have Braille labels on the bucket, titling which division
said bucket corresponds to.

The five divisions who will be battling for the buck are: the Lawyers,
Merchants, Parents, Travelers, and Performing Arts divisions. These proud
and strong divisions will be competing head-to-head to win the penny wars.

HOW IT WORKS:

Federationists will throw SILVER change and dollars into their favorite
division's bucket, while throwing pennies in the bucket of the division they
hope to beat.

After each day, NABS leaders will count each bucket and provide updates,
DEPENDING ON LOGISTICS. The final tallies will be announced Friday, July
10th.

The winning division will receive 50% of all proceeds collected, while the
National Association of Blind Students will take home the other half.

THE SCORING:

Pennies are worth -5, so they will negatively impact any division that
receives them.

Nickels will count as five points, dimes as ten, quarters as twenty-five,
single dollars as 100 points, and so on.

Get ready for a heated competition between five incredible national
divisions!
