Fellow Federationists:

Let me be clear from the outset that I make no money and take no reward from your choosing to buy this product.

We're used to plugging and un-plugging our headphones all day long. From our computers to phones to tablets, the process is clunky and puts a lot of wear and tear on our audio cables. This Kickstarter campaign would change the way headphones work.

The product is built much like Apple's Mag-Safe power adapter, which harnesses the power of magnets to ensure a quick, tight fit. These guys have built a MAGkap, which you put on the end of your headphones, and a MAGjack, which you insert into every audio port on your devices. When your headphones and these jacks come near one another, they snap together with a magnet. The best part is that, unlike the Square credit card reader, if your headphones are not connected, you can leave the MAGjack inserted in your phone and the audio will still come through the speakers.

Their campaign, called MAGzet, only has about a week left to reach their goal, so if you are interested, be sure to act quickly! The product starts at just $25. If you're new to Kickstarter, the idea is that you pledge the amount that you'd be willing to pay; if not enough people agree to buy, then your card is not charged.

I hope that this product is as good in person as it looks in the video…and I hope that enough people support this so that I, too, will get my MAGkap and MAGjacks!
