The Performing Arts Division, a strong and proud division of the
National Federation of the Blind, has planned many exciting
activities for this year's national convention! Please join us!
The annual meeting of the Performing Arts Division will take place on
Wednesday July 3rd from 1:00 to 4:00 PM in Salon 14 Level 2. If you
would like to learn more about the history of the division and help
plan for the future, please join us. We will be discussing new
activities for the division, including fundraising, affiliate
development, and Sound and Sight Volume Three. So bring your
questions and ideas, and let's continue to build the division!
Then, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, The Performing Arts Division presents
"Music Tech and You." Kevin Reeves, a recording artist and expert in
music technology, will be giving an introduction into the world of
composing, recording, and mixing. This seminar will be broadcasted
over the internet and will be available as a download the following day
for anyone unable to attend. The presentation will be in Salon 16
Level 2. Cost is only $3!
Join us for a wonderful evening of performances at the Show Case of
Talent! The show is from 7:00 to 10:00 PM in the Junior Ballroom G
Level 1, and admission is $5. Those wishing to perform in the Show
Case should call (317)643-1890 or find the division secretary, Julie
McGinnity, at the convention and give the following information: name,
type of performance, song or performance title, and phone number.
If you have questions, please call (317)643-1890
