National Federation of the Blind Urges Senate to Ratify
Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities
Baltimore, Maryland (June 5, 2012): <http://www.nfb.org/>The National
Federation of the Blind, the nation's oldest and largest organization
of blind people, today urged the United States Senate to ratify the

Nation's Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which
is intended to protect the rights of persons with disabilities
throughout the world.

ratify this convention immediately so that the dignity and rights of
all disabled people are recognized and protected."
