Birding by Ear, June 6, 2026
The woods are a little more quiet since many bird species have settled down
to nest and raise their families. This Saturday morning we will still check
out the woods in the natural area of the University of Michigan-Dearborn
Environmental Interpretive Center. Please meet at 9a m in Room 119 to join
in the fun. Birds are not the only ones wishing to reproduce their species.
The Butterflies are looking for host plants to lay eggs. So we will be
adding more Parsley and Dill to our Matt Clew Butterfly garden in hopes of
attractingSwallowtail butterflies of varying species. It will be really
great if we find eggs or caterpillars in a few weeks. We can give them a
better chance at life by raising to chrysalis and adult butterfly. Please
join me for all this natural adventure.
Thanks and blessings,
