First, Welcome to the Michigan list.  We are happy you are coming to our
great state to see one of our famous citizens.

What, exactly, is the venue?  Is it DTE (formerly Pine Knob)?  If so, that
is near Pontiac, where there is definitely public transportation from
Detroit.In any case, I think Pontiac is the closest town with public transit
that connects to Detroit.  If you let me know the exact place where the
concert will take place I can be a little more helpful.

Hello. My name is Chasity. I just subscribed to this list temporarily. I am
from Missouri. I'm sorry if this post is a little off topic, but I thought
this might be the best resource to get my answer for my question. I want to
come to Clarkston, Michigan this summer for two days to see my man, Kid
Rock. I am a Kid Rock groupie. I would fly from St. Louis to Detroit, and
then I am just trying to figure out how I can get to Clarkston from Detroit.
Is there any public transportation that goes directly into Clarkston? If
not, is there a nearby town where the bus goes and if it's close enough I
could cab it the rest of the way. I realize that Clarkston is quite a
distance from Detroit, so obviously cabbing it all the way isn't an option.
I am just wondering what my options are and I think it would be too bad if
transportation was the only issue stopping me from attending the shows. I
would really like to find a way to go.
