The extension of terms has been discussed by the previous board. We were
all in favor, but never put anything on paper.

Subject: [Nfbkabs] Greetings!

Hello Kabs!
It has recently been pointed out to me that we as a group and even
more importantly that we as a Kabs board do not write on the list very
much. I can't speak for everyone, and don't really have many excuses
for myself except to say that it has been a crazily busy time for me.
I would like to how ever let everyone know that kabs does indeed still
exist, and as a board we have had a few meetings recently in which we
are planning a up coming meeting, and an awesome fund raiser that we
will be happy to share with all of you when the details are kicked
around a little more. We are meeting or planning to meet at KSB the
week of May 5-9. The exact date hasn't been planned yet but we would
love to see all of you there and will let you know when we have more
information.
On another note: the kabs board has talked a little about extending
election terms for the kabs board. I know that passed boards have
discussed this, and all of us are in agreement that just when you get
in to a routine and get some good thoughts together as a board it is
kind of hard to put anything in to play because convention comes up
quick on you and then you're out of there. We would like to make these
changes to the constitution at a near future meeting, and would like
some feedback on how the group feels about this. Should we extend the
term for the board to 2 years? Should the extention just be for the
president and vice president? Should we look at some other
alternative? Would you be willing to commit to a 2 year term if
elected to the kabs board? Lets have some discussion on this topic. I
would like to get this list out of the dumps and back to life. So,
lets chat!

Sincerely yours,

Kathy Athey
