are affiliated with K-12, college or graduate school education,
I am forwarding this email to you from one of our Bookshare.org summer
interns, Tiffany Medina. At Bookshare, Tiffany is assisting Susie Mckinnon
with outreach to schools and students. In the email below, Tiffany describes
a very exciting and important federal grant we are bidding on at Benetech to
bring Bookshare.org and accessible textbooks to print-disabled students
nationwide at no cost. Part of our proposal must include testimonials from
those in the education community whom we serve.
We have already written to a few students we know personally who are
Bookshare subscribers, but Tiffany and I thought we'd cast the net a bit
wider and write to the list membership as well. Please read Tiffany's

Hi everyone, my name is Tiffany, and I'm an intern at Bookshare.org this
summer. I'm writing to tell you about an exciting project that we have going
on at Bookshare and to ask for your help. The Department of Education just
put out a fast-track request for a grant proposal, and it fits
Bookshare.org really well!
We are going to propose to serve all U.S. students (K-12 and postsecondary)
with Bookshare.org and basic assistive technology software at no charge to
the school or student. If we receive this grant, we would also be able to
expand our services, improve the quality of our books, add more textbooks
(including math/science books) to our collection, and implement other
changes with the goal of better serving students.
We are hoping to get your support. We need to submit our proposal
electronically next week, because this is federal fiscal 2007 money and has
to be committed by the government next month. We are looking for students,
parents of print-disabled students and educators to submit testimonial
quotes about the ways in which Bookshare.org has helped them or their
students or their schools. A paragraph from you would be a big help as we
compile our testimonials for the grant.

I am forwarding this email to you from one of our Bookshare.org summer interns, Tiffany Medina. At Bookshare, Tiffany is assisting Susie Mckinnon with outreach to schools and students. In the email below, Tiffany describes a very exciting and important federal grant we are bidding on at Benetech to bring Bookshare.org and accessible textbooks to print-disabled students nationwide at no cost. Part of our proposal must include testimonials from those in the education community whom we serve.

Hi everyone, my name is Tiffany, and I'm an intern at Bookshare.org this summer. I'm writing to tell you about an exciting project that we have going on at Bookshare and to ask for your help. The Department of Education just put out a fast-track request for a grant proposal, and it fits Bookshare.org really well!
We are going to propose to serve all U.S. students (K-12 and postsecondary) with Bookshare.org and basic assistive technology software at no charge to the school or student. If we receive this grant, we would also be able to expand our services, improve the quality of our books, add more textbooks (including math/science books) to our collection, and implement other changes with the goal of better serving students.
We are hoping to get your support. We need to submit our proposal electronically next week, because this is federal fiscal 2007 money and has to be committed by the government next month. We are looking for students, parents of print-disabled students and educators to submit testimonial quotes about the ways in which Bookshare.org has helped them or their students or their schools. A paragraph from you would be a big help as we compile our testimonials for the grant.
If you're interested/able to help out, please send the following to me and to Lisa Friendly (who I am Ccing on this message) as soon as you can:
