At more colleges, textbooks are free from the Web. The catch? The books
contain 
advertisements from a number of companies including FedEx Kinko's. The
ads aim 
to lighten the financial burden on students created by rising textbook
prices, 
yet some critics worry that they will dilute a book's editorial
