Hi KABS,
There are some loose ends that we need to take care of for the upcoming KABS
seminar and I'm hoping that some of you can help with the details. Please
review the list and let me know where you can help.
1.	create flyer to advertise seminar
2.	Communication team to distribute flyer to as many high schools and
colleges (as well as newspapers, KOFB and KSB) in Kentucky
3.	handle all door prizes the night of the seminar (this includes
labeling and making sure everyone who registers get their name in the hat)
4.	Greeters who will be at the hotel first and can get the room set up
and start greeting seminar attendees
5.	cleanup crew to stay for a few minutes after the seminar to make
sure the room is in the same condition we find it
6.	Phone team to call as many KABS members (old and new) to encourage
them to attend the convention and seminar
7.	Thank you note writer to send notes promptly after the seminar to
thank those who are on the program
8.	mentor team to connect with any new students who attend the seminar
and/or the convention
9.	fundraising team to carry the "roll to win" boxes and sell, sell,
sell
10.	registration table - this includes someone with a laptop to input
seminar attendees' info, someone to take money and give resource CD and
someone to put names in the hat for door prizes
This is all I can think of at this time. I realize that many of these tasks
can't be assigned or completed now, but there are some that can. In an
effort to be as organized as possible with this seminar I thought it would
be good to at least come up with a plan of action. We don't know yet if
we'll be able to bring food into the hotel for dinner or if we'll have to
pay the hotel for dinner, but depending on the answer to that question we
may need someone to handle that as well. The KABS board will be working with
you all on these tasks, but we really need more hands. I want to thank all
of you in advance for your efforts to make this seminar bigger and better
than in years past.
Sincerely,
Melanie Peskoe
