I agree, but I wonder why these phone numbers are even showing up as formulas in the first place. It would be interesting if someone did an F2 and pasted the formula into a post to this list. I wonder if they're really showing up as links instead of formulas.

Actually, the format for the cells that contain phone numbers should be changed to Text. This is because, even though these cells contain numbers, these numbers do not have value. They are phone numbers, and phone numbers though they are numbers are actually text. Therefore, the proper format for these cells that contain phone numbers is Text.

I'm thinking you can get to that menu with the applications key, aka right click.  On my Windows keyboard, it's the key just to the right of alt on the right side of the spacebar.

I have a list of several names and phone numbers in Excel. The numbers are appearing as formulas. Can someone provide instructions on converting these formals to numbers? I've done it before, but cannot remember. Any help would be appreciated.
