Hi,

 

I've had this annoying bug with EdSharp where I can't fix it so that JAWS
ignores blank lines between paragraphs. Jahmal is no longer developing the
application, and I haven't moved off of it to something else. The
functionality is too good when it works, but between the minor irritation of
the blank line issue and the more frequent issue of JAWS hanging unless I
enter the menu bar and exit the menu bar to return JAWS focus to the body of
the document, I fear I may need to find an alternative sooner than later.

 

First, are there any settings I should double check with JAWS before making
a switch to get around this blank line problem?

 

Second, can anyone recommend a good alternative? I've tried Jarte, but
that's more of a word processing alternative. I want a good plain text
editor that will allow me, for example, to assign quick shortcuts for text
snippets I am likely to use often for things like writing code.
