Hi fellow computer science peeps.
I'm curious if anyone is interested in learning and iterating on an event
driven architecture using AWS native and/or open source containerized
services?
The user story would be:
As a tech leader I want to learn hands on how to create an event driven
stack that utilizes KafKa or Kenesis to receive events providing those to 1
or more subscribing microservice which update their data store (MySQL,
Postgres or Cassandra) and push appropriate updates to ReactJS components
via socket connections to the microservice so that I can improve my
understanding in a hands on way to better mentor my team as they shift from
a classic SOA pull structure to events.
If you're interested in learning together or if you're an expert already in
any piece of that user story feel free to direct email me. I'm planning to
spend a few hours a week, possibly choosing a good book off of O'reilly
books online and running through it.
Best,
Charles
