[Nfbaz-talk] Introduction

Hi, everyone.

Most, if not all of you, at least know who I am, but for those who don't, I'll give a brief introduction.

My name is Rachel, and I'm 24 and live in Tucson. I'm recently totally blind (before August I was able to see some light and shadows), but on June 22, I had my right eye removed, and on August 24, I had my left eye removed. Without getting into to much medical terminology, basically, I had retinal scarring and I also had blisters on my cornea that would rupture. Both of these factors, plus a pressure increase, caused me to make the decision to have my eyes removed.

Anyhow, I am happily anticipating my future. My goal is to become certified to teach Assistive technology, which I can do online in about ten months.
