On Monday July 16th, NFBNET.ORG will be going off-line. The server needs to be moved to another location, as I just bought a house and will be moving as well. I anticipate that it will be taken down at about 4:00 p.m. Central Daylight time, and will be down for from two to three hours.

This means that there will be no listserv mail flowing, although anything you send during that time will be held by my ISP for later delivery. If everything goes according to plan it should come back up between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. the same evening. If things don't go according to plan I will move server back to original location, and send out a message.

We don't anticipate any problems, but who knows.

In addition to all the lists not sending mail, all the web sites we host will also be down including Blind Lawyers, Blind Musicians, Guide dog users, NFB Cars Division, quietcars.org, and sites for Iowa, Missouri, St. Louis, Tennessee, Tennessee Students, Memphis, West Virginia, Kansas, Idaho, Maryland, Hawaii, and nfbnet.org itself.

I apologize for the inconvenience, but this is unavoidable, since I am moving. I will be closer to my kids, so they should have more opportunities to unplug the server (smile.)
