I hope you were all sitting down when you opened your inbox to finally
see an e-mail from me. Many apologies for being elusive and
unresponsive after I met many of you at the Webmasters seminar back in
February.
There are a number of things for which several of you are waiting:
* customized templates for your affiliate/division
* improved functionality in the EZEdit interface for page creation
* additional users accounts with restricted editing permissions
* publishing capabilities for admin accounts
* additional privileges for creating
Unfortunately, the big one--templates for all featuring the appropriate
affiliate logo--have not yet been delivered. There's been some debate
as how best to generate templates on the fly without us having to pay
for the creation and installation of 52+ separate templates. Some of
the outstanding questions require a response from me and I expect to
nail down those answers early this week. Before the week is out, I
should be have a better idea of how much longer it will be until you
have the proper tools in your hands.
We are very close to adding an additional IT staff member here at the
National Center and that should allow me to devote more time to
Web-related issues, including helping each of you take advantage of what
you learned here in February. I'll also be responding to individual
questions this week. If there are additional outstanding questions to
which I've not posted a response in the next week or so, please remind
me of them.
Thanks for your patience (and thanks to Gary Wunder for his seemingly
limitless diplomacy).
Regards,
John
