Pete, I have used the recorder - we bought one for our Affiliate and it
is fantastic. The menus talk, the machine is sensitive, the quality is
superb, the battery life is good, the machine is compact, but other than
these observations, it is worthless.

Subject: [Nfb-web] Olympus DS-50 Digital Recorder
Good evening everyone,
I'd like to know if anyone on these lists has had experience with
the
Olympus DS-50 Digital Recorder. We're wanting to purchass a digital
recorder, but want to make sure we have the right recorder for our
needs;
recording lectures and meetings for example. This machine is designed
for
such projects as it can be used to create and process podcasts. I looked
at
some other high-end digital recorders earlier this year, but feel that
if I
can get the same bang for less bucks why not go for it. If anyone has
had
experience with this unit I'd like to hear from you.
Peter Donahue
