Actually source forge does have files in a tar ball or zip file you just 
have to hunt. It's usually at the bottom, then if your  browser blocks the 
download if you go way down to the bottom of the page there is a click here 
to down load.

It takes some time to get used to but they have tons of great stuff on that 
site. It's one of my favorites.
