[Nfb-web] Yahoo Mail Saying It's Not Screenreader Friendly?

It's not entirely clear from your message whether your daughter was
unable to sign-in to the Yahoo! network at all, or was simply unable to
use Yahoo web mail once once signed in. I'm going to assume you're
talking about the later scenario, but please do clarify the situation if
that's wrong.
Yahoo! recently introduced a more modern flavour of Yahoo Mail with a
richer interface that some assistive technology struggles with.
Your daughter might have better luck with Yahoo Mail Classic, which is
a refreshed version of the old Yahoo Mail. You can switch between the
old and new flavors at will. To switch back to Classic, go into the new
Yahoo Mail, wait a bit for the page to finish loading, then wait a tiny
bit more, and then select the Switch Back link. This will be one of the
first links on the page, just after the "My Account" link. If you come
across a link called "Trouble Logging In" instead, then probably your
screen reader virtual buffer hasn't updated the link list when the page
swapped "Trouble Logging In" for "Switch Back". Switching to forms mode
or browse mode or the equivalent to interact more directly with the
browser might help in that case. But you can also select the Trouble
Logging In link instead, since that takes you to a page where switching
back to Yahoo Classic is one of the options.
Once you click Switch Back, you may be faced with a dialog asking you
for confirmation. The default is Cancel. Shift Tab to select "Switch
to Original Yahoo! Mail" and press Enter.
If you ever wish to try the new Yahoo Mail again, you can by selecting
the "Try the new Yahoo Mail" link in Classic, which is just after the
"My Account" link.
Note these instructions are based on the UK Yahoo! edition. Link text,
for example, could be different in the US. Here's the Yahoo US Help
topic on this subject:

Hope that helps. Let us know if it does.
