Hello Gary and listers,

If she'll contact me with specific questions I'll be glad to assist her.
While I'm at it I'm making great strides in learning to use Dreamweaver MX,
and will do the same with DW8 when I receive it. It's one of those programs
you need to spend time learning to figure out work-around for doing tasks
for which there are no straight-forward keyboard commands for performing.
Copying and pasting navigation bars on to Web pages is one of them. Last
night I created my first full-fledged navigation bar using DWMX with minimal
difficulty. However copying it to other Web pages in a site can be tricky as
the navbar is produced by DW in three components and each must be moved or
copied separately using good old Code View and finger grease. I would
strongly recommend that anyone wanting to use DW to develop Web pages have a
strong knowledge of HTML to fall back on in order to circumvent
accessibility issues with this package.

I'd also be curious to know if anyone here knows Action Script? Action
Script is the, "Brains" of Flash presentations. It's what makes them do what
they do and can be written from within Macromedia's Dreamweaver or Flash.
Flash can do lots more than create animations. I'm getting a survey of three
Macromedia products in a course I'm taking this semester. We're just about
done with Dream, and are headed for Flash next. Just as one can use HTML,
CFML, .ASP, XML, JavaScript and PHP to get around accessibility issues in
Dream Action Script can allow one to do the same in Flash. To what extent
this is true I'll be able to report on at the end of next month. We'll
conclude the course with a look at Fireworks. Like Flash I understand that
Fireworks too has a native language used for manipulating graphics, and for
producing animations. It's also possible to create Web Pages from within
Fireworks, but I don't believe the capabilities of that program are as
extensive as those of Dreamweaver. If Noel will contact me I'll be glad to
assist her with her questions, and I'll keep everyone posted on my immersion
in to Studio MX/8 in the coming months.

I am wondering whether anyone on this list is a professional web master
and could send me information about their business. In the alternative,
please provide me with recommendations with web masters that are skilled
in web site accessibility and visual appeal.

Thank you.

Noel Nightingale
