Greetings folks. The National Federation of the Blind has the Committee on Automobile and pedestrian Safety whose primary mission is to figure out how we can all continue to travel safely with the advent of vehicles which make virtually no noise at slow speeds and when stopped. CAPS would like to put up a website where we can post all the articles which have been written on this subject, highlight any research being done, and list other organizations concerned with the safe travel of pedestrians.

Assuming we can get space for the site, is there anyone who would be interested in helping us code the site? We're not interested in fancy bells and whistles but we do want it to be accessible and visually appealing to those who will visit it. We also want to ensure that it gets captured when people enter search terms such as "hybrid vehicles," "stealth vehicles," "quiet cars," and probably other terms which escape me at the moment.

My guess is that after initial setup, maintenance will simply involve adding new articles once we have permission to post them and the addition and deletion of research information. Anyone interested in taking this on as a way to contribute to our finding a solution to the Quiet Car issue should write to me at

gwunder at earthlink.net

Thank you.
