Are there any particular subject guidelines for submissions?  In other
words, does blindness or some speculative fiction about blindness have a
better chance than a story about some other subject?

This is the last call for the NFB Writers' division's annual writing contest
of fiction short stories and poetry. The deadline for Submissions is June
first. short stories can be up to 3,000  words 
and can be o	f any genre. Poetry can be up to 36 lines. Submissions 
Can     be e-mailed to newmanrl at cox.net or snail-mailed (typed, 
double spaced), To     Robert Leslie Newman, 504 S 57th St. Omaha, NE 
68106. All work must be original and previously unpublished. The first prize
for each contest is $100, second $50, and third $25. With your submissions,
include a cover letter with title(s) of your 
submissions, your name, Address,     phone # and Email. There is a 
cost of $5 entry fee per story and $5 for up to 3 poems, check 
or     money order are accepted, made out to NFB Writers' Division 
and sent to the above     address. Winners will be announced on July 
1st at our division meeting during the NFB National convention in 
Dallas, Texas. Finally,        winning entries will be published in 
our quarterly magazine, Slate and Style. Good luck and happy writing.
