Who says they can't make fun of him for being black? C'mon, this is late
night! They can make fun of him for everything!
I happen to think the Mr. Magoo gags are a total riot, but I don't think
I'm so insecure in my blindness as to believe that anyone sees Mr. Magoo
gags and looks at me in the same light. And if they do, they learn
otherwise--abruptly, because Mr. Magoo I'm certainly not.
The gags are just that. And some of them are pretty darned funny.

Who is shocked that there hasn't been a joke where Patterson says, "Man,
they just won't take me seriously in Harlem because I'm white!" Oooh.
