Mike, I was at the national convention. I did debate the resolution. I saw
what happened, both in 2002 and 2005 with regard to our approach to Freedom
Scientific.

Moreover, I've been to leadership seminar and have heard Maurer speak of the
importance of money. I'm not just talking out of an aperture in my ass. Many
active and past members have seen the politics and we understand how it
works.

Now, let me high-light this statement you just made:

Quote
I'm bringing out the fact that
we're all blathering and aren't speaking from firsthand knowledge. This
does both ourselves and the NFB a singular disservice.
Unquote

Doesn't this statement bolster our position? Shouldn't we all have first
hand knowledge of the decision-making process that lead us to downplay FS's
involvement with the project? Isn't that our right as members? Moreover,
aren't we doing a bigger disservice to our own organization if we bypass our
philosophical core for the sake of our pocketbook?

I'm not beating a dead horse here. Past events merely serve as a warning
sign of what's to come. We gave FS a pass and we'll do it again for
Humanware once this thing airs.
