Good evening everyone,
Freedom Scientific is also a convention sponsor and has worked with us
very closely. Like Humanware they too donated adaptive technology to assist
the blind family members featured in previous episodes of Extreme Make-Over,
Home Edition, but this did not keep the NFB from speaking out loud and
strong concerning the negative image of blindness depicted in those
programs. We shall see what we shall see.

My prediction is that the NFB leadership will stay relatively quiet on this
matter, as Humanware is a major contributor to our convention and
Imagination Fund. Sad really, because it's doing the blind no good, but
money often trumps principle and this organization is no exception.
