I haven't pretended to be anything I'm not. I've carried on a civil
discussion.
You need to realize that criticism can be constructive. As a blind person,
the NFB represents me whether I like it or not. Therefore, I have every
right to criticize it when it does something I disapprove of. I'm beginning
to realize that in order to effect the direction of the NFB, I will have to
become more involved. I know you think that's hypocritical given how much
I've criticized the NFB but what what alternative do I have? I guess I could
join the ACB but since the NFB keeps blocking what they do, there would be
little point. Besides, I don't think the NFB wants to encourage people to
join the ACB, do they? Isn't it preferable to have dissenters join in order
to get different viewpoints? Or does the NFB want only like-minded
individuals?
