Aaron:  When we chartered busses from Des Moines to Waterloo for a couple 
years, it cost somewhere around $1320.00 for a 47 passenger bus.  Now, that 
was before fuel skyrocketed.
You'd have to decide whether the driver was going to be staying all week so 
the bus could take people to various places.  If you do that, you would be 
paying his hotel expenses and such.
Then you'd need to be very sure you could fill the thing; otherwise, you 
lose money.  I'mguessing it might cost people $300 or more.
It undoubtedly would be a fun trip.  I remember some of the bus excursions 
we took to NFB conventions in my much younger days.
One of the things you'd be bucking is the fact that you can get a direct 
flight to Detroit from Des Moines these days which probably takes an hour 
and a half.  Don't know what the costs are, but you can't beat the 
convenience.  Well, I just checked the cost for a nonstop flight to Detroit 
and it's about $365.00.  Now, that's from Des Moines.
The plus side is you can't beat the fun and fellowship you can have on a bus 
trip.
