How about sending a message to the company asking for volunteers who are 
headed your direction to take you to and from work for a fee.  I tried this 
and found it very successful.  And I too have had to pay taxi fairs ot get 
to work due to my mistakes assuming rides would be available when they were 
on vacation.  This is part of being a federationist, we do what we have to 
do and we don't complain and make excuses.
