Hi Everyone;
I see nothing wrong with something like a sleep test, braille car
ralley, servay... Being open to all, the NFB, ACB, AFB and non members.
Things relating to fund raising just will not work. Who wold run the
event and who would get the proseeds? Remember, we were one and because
of differing thoughts, those in the ACB were the ones to separate. They
are welcome back, but it is not our obligation to beg them to come back.
While in Littlerock, I was a member of ACB. Back then I did not know
the difference between the two and it was the only blind group around.
They did very little towards fund raising that I can remember. Nothing
like the NFB.
When I came home, I joined the NFB and I count my blessings that I did.
I am a hard worker in a strong, hardworking chapter. I am proud of it
and my contrabutions to my chapter, state and also helping at the NFB
store. I am now starting to shair my crafts with the NFB and 50% goes
to my chapter. My notice is in the October Braille Moniter.
