[nfb-talk] Fw: [acb-l] Fwd: [CCB-L] H.R.4169, American Braille Flag Memorial Act

Well, the part about honoring blinded veterans is a good idea. All this
nonsense about the blind needing a special flag, or even putting a special
flag in Arlington seems a bit much. There are plenty of flags that you can
feel the sewn on stars and stripes. I think all that simpery nonsense about
how blind people haven't had access to the flag is just silly and although
it might pull a few heart strings, it also gives a very wrong impression to
the public.

Flag Memorial Act

What a waste of time this bill is in my humble opinion. This obviously will
be the only tactile flag in existence. The flag is the flag and all
Americans know what is on it and can recite the Pledge without it being in
grade 1 Braille on this tactile flag. It makes one wonder what ludicrous
garbage the ACB will come up with next. Wow, I can hardly wait. By the
way, we have a flag on a pole outside of our house and it is not tactile.
Congress should get busy and do something worthwhile like getting us out of
Iraq.
