I have a freind her ein GA that applied for rehab services recently and
after a long wait she was denied and the reason given was that she quit her
job in order to change careers and obtained rehab services. She was told
that if she had been fired or had never worked she would not have been
denied but since she quit her job she was denied. The reason she made the
change is that she was working for a job that had no potential for
advancement and after 8 years of service she was making less than 30k. I
advised her to call the client assistance program and of course the NFB as
our state president use to the the CAP guy, but she is not the best advocate
it seems and you can't force someone to do something they are not truly
motivated to do so... We will see what happens to her.
