Hi Aaron,
we have a chiropractor in our town and he is functionally blind. He
could talk to you about what accommodations he uses. This is very
silly though given that blind people have been doing this kind of
body/healing, massage/manipulation sort of work for centuries.
I'll send you his contact information off list.

Regards,

Heather Field

A few years ago, I attempted to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic.
To
make a long story short, they refused to provide accommodations.
Rather
than wait for the resolution of a lengthy lawsuit, I decided to
continue on
with my education somewhere else. However, I did not entirely let
them off
the hook. I filed a complaint against them with the Davenport Civil
Rights
Commission. One of the issues that the Davenport CRC is asking me to
address is the assertion by Palmer that a sighted assistant would
significantly alter essential components of the program by interfering
with
my decision making process. Anyway, I am looking for help in
answering this
question. I would appreciate receiving any pertinent information or
comments on this topic. I believe that their main concern was with
x-rays,
but also with ear, eye, nose and throat exams.

Thanks in advance.

Aaron
