[nfb-talk] to laugh, or not to laugh; that is the question

Ray,
I do. I even remember an occasion where Johnny Carson told a joke that
deeply offended Dr. Jernigan. I thought it was tremendously funny.
I also find myself laughing at myself when I do things that are not as
competent as I would like. Perhaps that says more about me than I like.
I just cannot help but realize that my sighted friends do funny things.
I am no different. I figure it's better to laugh when I do something
stupid or graceless, than to act like nothing happened.
William

Subject: [nfb-talk] to laugh, or not to laugh; that is the question
Hi,
Folks, I've got a question on my mind and I very much would like to
have, if possible, y'all's answers to it. The question is this.
Is it at all appropriate for a blind person to laugh at funny things
which happen because of blindness? Let me rephrase the question; jus a
little. IF we do laugh at ourselves and with each other because of
funny
things which happen due to blindness, are we no longer considered
serious
federationists? I'll leave it right there and await the answers.
Sincerely yours,
The Constantly Barefooted,
Ray
