Kaye,
It seems to me your perspective is one which is badly needed in the
world today. Let's see who else says what.
Sincerely yours,
The Constantly Barefooted,
Ray

I laugh at myself all the time. After all if I don't who will? I don't think
it takes away from us being serious federationists unless we are unable to
distinguish the difference between when and when not to be serious. I talk
to blind friends all the time and say things like "you will never believe
the thing I did today." or "I did a blind thing today." Now I would only do
this with very close friends because statements like that may offend, but on
the other hand, I know when to take myself and my blindness and all that I
am and am not very seriously. For instance, when I am at work I am there to
do my job and do it well. I am not there to be the token blind or the one
that everyone thinks is just so funny. I think each of us has our comfort
level with ourselves, our blindness and those around us.
