Howdy!  I might have missed some of the conversation, but here in Colorado,
if you have "one more signed piece of paper" that says you really are blind,
directory assistance charges are waived.  I learned about this from The
Colorado Center, so the NFB is ahead of ACB.

I am one of those individuals who does not object to paying directory
assistance charges. I figure paying for directory assistance is one of those
"nuisances of blindness" and is not one of those necessities which we cannot
live without and, hence, which requires demanding special favors or
environmental modification of the world. So I think it's another of those
items, like "accessible" currency, that is a solution begging for a problem!

    Alright, so either you disagree there is a problem or you are not
willing to provide answers on how to fix it?  Come on Mike.  You're usually
good about providing thought-out responses.  I don't know that the issue is
important enough for us to make a legislative item out of it, but it's
something I'd never thought to consider.
