[nfb-talk] Blind Photographer

Kaye;
Can you see at all? If not what enjoyment do you get out of taking
pictures that you can not see? I can see a high partial enjoying the
pictures and even a low partial might be able to see them blown up on a
computer, but a total I can not understand.
I do crafts and have enough sight to distinguish most colors. Being a
low partial I still can see my work and also feal the beauty in it.
This can not be done with pictures. I even sell my work. If a person
can not focus a camera and take the shot at the right time, how is he
going to get the person smiling instead of frowning.
I love sale boats on the water, but if you want a beautiful picture of
one, the sail has to be in full view, not where you just see a line in
the air.
Just a few thoughts to think about.
Terry Powers

I think this is all being taken a little more seriously than necessary.
I
personally don't have anything to prove. I am old enough to have passed
that
portion of my life. I just do it for enjoyment. I will never enter an
art
contest or maybe quit my job to go on the road as a photographer, it
just
seemed like something fun to do, and for me that is where it will stop.
