Try looking at www.codefactory.es
note, .es, not .com
There you can keep abreast of all the adaptive software they make, including
mobilespeak.
I don't know where to go for talks these days. I have been happy with
mobilespeak.

Dave,

I agree with you for the most part. Except for the fact that almost all
phones are designed today with internet use in mind. My understanding
of the Mobile Speaks is that it is a screen reader software application.
Most cell phones are now designed to use all kinds of software
applications.

The truly good news was in the press release that you posted and I
deleted totally after reading. It said something to the effect that
more phones that could use the Mobile Speaks were coming soon. The real
test will be how soon.

William

In an ideal world you are right. I suspect what is happening is that
the Mobile Speak folks have to do work with their software to get it
to work with specific phones. This of course takes time and ... as
you know all electronics, including phones have a short life. So,
the phone gets supported, then is discontinued by the manufacturer.

We are between a rock and a hard place, as they say.
